This homemade vegetarian Danish recipe is perfect for breakfast, brunch or dessert!

Simple Vegetarian Cream Cheese Danish
Baking your own Danish pastry at home may sound scary, but these five ingredients recipes make the whole process so easy.
The best part? You can turn the base into any flavor of your choice and all flavors are vegan.
Stir on Sunday family breakfast, or serve it to guests at your next brunch party or book club.
From strawberry butter to lemons to peanut butter for blueberries or dairy products, once you get the basics, the possibilities for flavor are endless.
The remaining dough? Make sopapilla cheesecake

Vegetarian Danish
Clear: Double the cream cheese filling recipe below and omit the pie filling. It tastes like a pastry!
Vegetarian Blueberry Danish: Swap the cherry pie filling for the blueberry pie filling. Or add apples and sprinkle with minced cinnamon to create apples Danish.
chocolate: Before serving, drizzle with melted plant chocolate chips or sprinkle with mini dark chocolate chips and drizzle with dairy Danish.
Peanut Butter: Instead of pie filling, spread with half a cup of homemade peanut butter or other vegetarian chocolate hazelnuts. Garpet with powdered sugar after baking.
Cinnamon Rolls: Double the cream cheese filling, release the cherries, and stir half the cinnamon with the cream cheese. Stir half a cup of powdered sugar with a fourth teaspoon of cinnamon and a tablespoon of dairy to make a glaze.
Strawberry Cream Cheese: Add diced strawberries to the top instead of the pie filling.
banana: Use an equal amount of ripe mashed potatoes instead of blueberry or cherry filling.
Pumpkin Pie: Mix half a cup of pumpkin puree with three tablespoons of brown sugar and cinnamon and pumpkin pie spices. Used as a substitute for pie filling.
raspberry: Replace fruit with raspberry jam. You can also try plums, orange, blackberries, grapes or apricot jam. Add different jelly to the Danes and give your guests a choice.
lemon: Use lemon jam or an equal amount of vegetarian lemon curd.

raw material
These simple vegetarian pastries require only five ingredients.
Vegetarian Cream Cheese – Use non-cream cheeses in your favorite packaging, such as Violife, Kite Hill, Trader Joe’s Vegan or Tofutti.
If you want to try different stuffings like vegetarian egg ust or coconut cream, be sure to comment and let us know how it is going.
sugar – This recipe only requires a fourth cup of sugar, which is much less than many other traditional or pure Danish recipes.
Effective options include regular white sugar, unrefined coconut sugar, pure maple syrup or xylitol for sugar-free Danish.
Crescent Dough – You can use homemade or store-buyed crescent rolls.
Most of the regular refrigerated crescent roll brands are unexpectedly vegan, including Pillsbury, Trader Joe’s, Immactule Baking Company and Annie’s. Some common grocery store brands, such as Giant, Aldi, Wegman, Walmart and Savvi, are also vegetarians.
To create a healthy Denmark without hydrogenated oil or artificial flavors, choose the perfect bake or Anne.
For ketone-free or gluten-free options, make your own homemade dough and use only the filler recipe below.
Lemon juice – This ingredient gives an extra cheesy soup. If you don’t have anything on hand, you can omit lemon juice. For the 4th teaspoon pure vanilla extract, it is also optional.
Pie filling – For Danish full of fruit, you need half a cup of canned or homemade pie filling. I chose to use both blueberries and cherries.
As mentioned before, you can substitute another fruit, such as apple pie filling. Or double the cream cheese filling and then release the fruit filling.
Pure maple syrup – To create a shiny jinsu pure egg wash without eggs and add sweetness to the rolls, brush each pastry with agave or pure maple syrup before baking in the oven.
Can you use homemade pastry dough?
I chose Crescent Dough because I wanted a quick and easy recipe that even a novice baker could follow.
If you prefer a more traditional recipe, choose one of the many classic vegan Danish recipes available online or in vegan recipes.
Especially for those who follow a gluten-free or keto-free lifestyle, you can definitely make your own dough from scratch and still use the stuffed recipes and flavor ideas I have provided in this post.
The same is true for readers who wish to replace Pastry or sourdough. You can use any store that buys or makes homemade pastry dough. Just change the baking time as needed.

How to make the best vegetarian Denmark
Collect all ingredients first.
To stir the vegan cream cheese filling, mix the cream cheese, sugar, lemon juice, and optional vanilla extract until smooth.
I recommend using a food processor, stand mixer or hand mixer for the smoothest results. But if you let the cream cheese go to room temperature first and use a lot of arm strength and patience, you can do it by hand.
If you are going to make your own berry pie filling, prepare it for now.
When you are ready to bake Denmark, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Open the crescent containers, but don’t expand them.
Instead, cut a sharp knife into width, six parts per container.
Press the dough with a spoon, then clean your hands, creating a hole in each center. You want the well as deep and wide as possible to provide space for all fillings.
Brush the surface area of each roll with pure maple syrup or agave. This step adds a sweet flavor to the actual dough to complement the sweet filling.
Put about a tablespoon of vegetarian cream cheese into each well. After baking, save the extra cream cheese on top.
Finally, pour a few teaspoons of pie onto the cream cheese.

Place dairy pastries on a greased baking tray or oven safety tray lined with parchment paper or silicone mats.
Bake on a preheated oven center rack for 18 minutes.
Carefully remove from the oven and cool.
Garpe with leftover cream cheese frosting before transferring to a single plate for breakfast or dessert.

Tips for storing leftovers
Place the remaining Danes in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to five days, then heat them on the microwave or stove before serving.
If you don’t mind freezing may cause ice-cold cream cheese and fruit-filled textures, you can also freeze this recipe in an airtight container.
It is nice to have a few hours off the dairy and eggs on the counter at room temperature (such as during a party or overnight guest service).
When cut into twelve portions, each filled vegan pastry is less than 200 calories.

Fancy Vegetarian Danish
For the ultimate breakfast or brunch, guests will talk about a few months, turning your basic Danes into a lovely heart-shaped pastry.
Either use your hands to form the unbaked dough into a heart shape or cut out the heart with a large heart cookie cutter and fill the wells in the center wells of each heart.
Heart is a fun choice for Valentine’s Day or girls’ brunch or overnight parties. Moreover, the same approach applies to other shapes.
Try Easter Bunny Cookie Cutter, Halloween Pumpkin, Thanksgiving Turkey Shapes, and Christmas Tree or Snowflakes for winter.

This recipe was inspired by my vegetarian cinnamon rolls and vegan egg t.
- 2 Tube Crescent Moon Roll
- 4 ounce Vegetarian Cream Cheese
- 1/4 cup sugar or xylitol
- 1/2 Spoon Lemon juice
- 1/4 TSP Pure vanilla extract (Optional)
- 1/2 cup Homemade cherry pie filling Or store-bought pie filling
- 1/3 cup Pure maple syrup or tequila
-
First mix the cream cheese, sugar, lemon juice, and optional vanilla until smooth, so that the filling is filled. I recommend using a food processor or agitator for the best results. If you make homemade pie fillings, prepare immediately. Preheat the oven to 350 F and turn on the crescent container. Cut the width into twelve parts. Place the well in the center of each section. Make the well as deep as possible so that more space is filled. Brush the surface of the roll with agave and fill each hole with about a tablespoon of cream cheese. Top with a few teaspoons of pie filling. Bake on lined or grease tray for 18 minutes. Let cool. Drizzle the remaining cream cheese frosting on top of the vegetarian Danish. Enjoy breakfast or dessert.Check out nutrition facts
