Taco Seasoning Recipe (6 ingredients, kid-friendly)

Simple homemade taco seasoning

Skip the store-bought packaging – This homemade taco seasoning has been my go-to for years! I initially scaled it out of my popular Turkish Taco recipe and after countless changes I always return to this delicious mixture. It’s gentle enough for kids, but still full of flavor and works perfectly with ground beef, turkey, chicken and even taco dip. The best part? It’s easy, economical, and there’s no store-buy preservatives and additives in the mixture. Plus, you can adjust it accurately to your taste.

Why does this work!

I’ve been making my own homemade taco seasoning for years because I don’t like using tacos with preservatives. I first shared my recipe a few years ago when I posted the Turkish Taco Lettuce Package but decided to share it separately so you can use it for any taco recipe that requires a taco spice package.

  • Healthier: Since you start it from scratch, you can control what is inside it. I use organic spices to keep it free from pesticides. No added filler or human component.
  • Child-friendly: The mild spice mixture is perfect for all flavors.
  • Production: Easy to make batches and put in spice drawer, ready to grate beef, Türkiye, etc. to whip tacos.
  • Budget-friendly: Every time you make tacos, it’s cheaper than buying a separate package.
