Sesame and Ginger Dressing Recipe – Datoxinista

This is the recipe I made next time someone asks me to bring my salad to the party.
What makes this sesame ginger salad dressing work so well is that it hits all five flavors that make the dish crave. If you are not familiar with this idea, the flavors that must be included are:
- Sweet
- salty
- Deep
- Spicy
- Fresh flavor
This salad dressing hits all these notes without using any complicated ingredients. I can’t wait for you to try!

Ginger Sesame Tahini Ingredients
Here is what you need:
- Toasted sesame oil. This provides sesame flavor, but you don’t need much.
- olive oil. We use it for the rest of the oil because the flavor is neutral enough that it won’t compete with sesame and ginger. Use avocado oil if you like.
- Tamari. This is a soy sauce alternative that is usually gluten-free. (But please check the label for sure.) It adds a savory umami to finish the seasoning.
- Rice vinegar. This is a rich element that makes the flavor popular, but you may be able to use another light-colored vinegar (such as cider or champagne vinegar) and the results are similar.
- Honey. As I mentioned before, sweetness is one of the flavors that make dishes crave. Use two tablespoons very large, but you can add more flavor if you want.
- Ginger + garlic. Grind them on a mini platform for a bright, fresh flavor. These two additions are restaurant-quality seasonings.
- Sriracha. This increases calories and takes the flavor to the next level. I use a teaspoon of spice, but it doubles if you like spicy kicks.

How to make sesame ginger salad dressing
Step 1:
In an 8 oz or larger jar, add olive oil, toasted sesame, vinegar, tamari, honey, garlic, ginger, sriracha and salt. Stir well with egg or spoon.
Alternatively, secure the lid to the jar and shake vigorously until the seasoning looks good.

Step 2:
If necessary, taste the dressing and make any adjustments. You can add another tablespoon of honey for a sweet taste. (I would also double the salt in this case.)
Add another teaspoon of sriracha for spicy taste. I like to add two teaspoons in total, but I keep it gentle when serving the kids.
notes: Use a piece of lettuce or cucumber slice to test the seasoning instead of tasting it directly from the spoon. This will give you a better understanding of how this flavor tastes when it is diluted on the vegetables.

Agitator changes
If you prefer a more emulsified dressing with slightly creamy cream, mix the ingredients in a personal size blender and stir for about 60 to 90 seconds.
Although the ingredients remain the same, this aggressive mixing method will produce a creamier, more even salad dressing.

How to serve sesame and ginger seasoning
This seasoning is my favorite salad with chopped romaine, red cabbage, chopped carrots, chopped shallots and fresh cilantro. Add some salty cashews to this seasoning and crunchy cashews and your friends will always ask you to bring a party.
You can also use it as a dip for spring rolls or drizzle on a lettuce wrap.

- ¼ cup olive oil
- 2 spoon Toasted sesame oil
- 3 spoon Rice vinegar
- 2 spoon Honey
- 1 spoon Tamari (gluten-free soy sauce)
- 1 Garlic cloves chopped
- 1 inch Fresh ginger chopped
- 1 teaspoon Sriracha (or more taste)
- ¼ teaspoon Fine sea salt
-
In an 8 oz or larger jar, add olive oil, sesame oil, vinegar, honey, tamari, garlic, ginger, sriracha and salt. (Chop the garlic with a miniature quotation and go straight into the jar.)
-
Secure the lid to the jar and shake vigorously until the dressings are mixed together. Plus, you can mix it in a personal size blender for a more creamy look. Once the dressings are mixed together, you can adjust the seasonings to your liking. You may need to add more honey for sweetness, or more Sriracha to make it spicy.
-
Place seasonings on your favorite salad topping immediately. It can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. If it gets thicker when refrigerated, reach room temperature again before shaking and consuming.
