Maria Sakkari A page was taken from Andy Murray’s script and another player was called.
Ranked 86th in Greek Wild Cards and Yulia Putintseva After defeating her 7-5 in Sunday’s match at Bad Homburg. After the first match of the 2025 Bad Homburg Open, Sakkari was picked up on the court and told Putintseva that “no one likes you”.

As Sakkari approached putintseva, the two exchanged more words to clarify what was said.
“When you shake hands with someone, look into their eyes,” Sakari said.
She continued to attack World No. 27 in a post-match interview and said: “I don’t think she would invite me to dinner for the rest of our lives, but honestly, I don’t care. I have great friends and I’ll have dinner with them. Let me stay here and say I have respect for her as a player, but that’s it.”

Actually, we are not sure what it means: it’s not good to shake someone’s hands or tell someone that no one likes them?
Sakkari will face Belinda Bencic or Ekaterina Alexandrova in the second round of Bad Homburg.
