Casper Ruud Wimbledon will be skipped this year.
“He was back on the court and things were going well, but unfortunately it looked like the best five games were too early. Now, GSTAAD will be the next one for Casper,” manager Tina Falster told NTB.
Ruud joined Arthur Fils and Sebastian Korda with well-known figures who have already left the grassland profession.
The No. 16 Norwegian quits due to a lingering knee injury. He talked about Roland-Garros’ injury after losing to Nuno Borges in the second round.
“The first time I felt it in Monte-Carlo. So, this is actually the beginning of the entire clay season,” he said at the time. “I will have more time now to get it healed and rest for a long time. “Not surprisingly, Ruud chose Wimbledon.
“It’s hard life in many ways, and a lot of travel days, and that’s just the point where I feel it’s getting too much,” he said.
