My experience with Qualia nad+ (and NAD benefits)

Recently, NAD+ and some amazing ways it benefits the body has caused more buzz. You have heard of me preaching many times about magnesium, and the need for at least 300 reactions in the body. But nad? There are more than 400 enzymes in the body that require NAD, more than any other vitamin symbiotic enzyme.

I recently had the opportunity to try Qualia's NAD+ supplements, so I wanted to share my thoughts. I learned a lot about NAD along the way and why it is so important to our bodies.

What is nad?

From a scientific point of view, NAD is the abbreviation of the coenzyme nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide. Most of our organizations can also convert it to another form of NADP. It helps us turn the carbohydrates, fats and proteins we consume into ATP, which is what drives our cells.

Our body uses NAD throughout many processes throughout the body. NAD is also involved in many different areas of our health.

First, NAD maintains our genome integrity and gene expression. It can also help our cells communicate with each other and maintain antioxidant function in the cells. It plays a vital role in our metabolic pathways and helps our cells and tissues stay healthy and function as much as possible. NAD also helps natural DNA repair and immune cell function. One of its biggest functions is to help us maintain healthy cells and energy as we age.

The benefits of NAD for a healthy body and mind

NAD helps repair DNA damage that is worn daily in the body. NAD also plays an important role in maintaining the length of telomeres. These DNA end caps keep our chromosomes neat and neat.

NAD also helps the body protect cells from stress and helps them become more resilient. The researchers linked NAD to energy, muscle recovery, better memory and concentration.

How to get nad

NAD is not something we get directly from food or supplements. Instead, when we eat vitamin B3 (niacin), our body converts it into NAD. Some foods are reinforced with niacin, but they are usually highly processed bread and cereals. Our bodies can also convert the amino acid tryptophan into niacin. However, the effect of converting tryptophan into niacin varies from person to person.

You can naturally find niacin in certain foods, especially animal foods. The liver, chicken and turkey contain some of the highest amounts. However, you need to eat 25 servings of chicken breast or 17 servings of beef liver every day to equal B3 in Qualia's NAD+ supplement. And, because niacin is water soluble, our bodies need it every day and do not store it.

If we actually NAD, it's hard for our bodies to use it because it's a big molecule. NAD is not very helpful at one end and the other! Instead, when we take NAD precursor (also known as niacin), our bodies can make their own NAD better, which can be more bioavailable.

Even with these NAD precursors, our bodies need other nutrients to truly absorb and use NAD.

The trouble of aging

As I quickly approach middle age, I understand healthier aging. Thankfully, we do have a lot of lifestyle choices that can help the process be smoother. Many times, when we think of anti-wrinkle creams and lotions like anti-aging products. However, true healthy aging begins at the cellular level from the inside out.

As we age, not only will we reduce NAD, but our bodies will destroy our work faster. Our bodies release a compound called CD-38 to help control NAD levels. The downside is that NAD levels get lower as we age, while our CD-38 is higher. So we start to break down NAD more and the levels may become too low.

Decreased NAD is associated with a variety of diseases associated with aging. These include decreased brain function, cancer, metabolic diseases and skeletal muscle loss. Since muscles are long-lived organs, we want to maintain as much as possible!

The good news is that restoring NAD levels can help healthy aging.

Get enough nad

If you don't want to eat 17 servings of beef liver a day, the best way to do this is to supplement it! However, taking niacin alone (the precursor of NAD) has its disadvantages. Our bodies need other combined factors to truly absorb and use niacin/NAD.

This is where Qualia's NAD+ supplement really shines. They have formulated it to contain several different ingredients that can all work together to better bioavailability. This is a careful look at some ingredients and why they are included.

Anti-Caote – Resveratrol is naturally found in dark berries and grapes. The polyphenol antioxidant has been shown to reduce brain inflammation and may help enhance memory. When it is used with NAD, anti-drugs and other antioxidants help prevent NAD from breaking down too quickly in the body.

Vitamin B – Niacin (the precursor of NAD) is also called vitamin B3. Qualia's NAD+ supplement also contains full spectrum B vitamins. If we only take B3, it can cause imbalance in the body over time. We also need B vitamins for energy, cell repair and brain function. Unlike synthetic versions, these versions are cultured in Saccharomyces cerevisiae for optimal absorption.

magnesium – Although I take magnesium supplements regularly, it can also help the body better utilize NAD. Magnesium supports enzymes that make NAD and help keep mitochondria healthy, so NAD can do the job better.

On the water – A trace mineral mixture made from red algae. Minerals play a role in helping enzymes in the body that use NAD for things like DNA repair to help it work more effectively. These minerals also help mitochondria stay healthy and maintain optimal NAD ratios.

Organic coffee raspberries – This is not a coffee berry bush growing along the West Coast. Also known as coffee cherry, it is the fruit of the coffee bean plant. Coffee cherries have long been discarded as waste, but recently scientists have discovered their benefits.

More information about Coffeeberry

Coffee fruit is rich in antioxidants that support healthy cellular aging and improve the immune system. It also plays a role in protecting healthy brain function and fighting age-related brain problems. Coffee fruit also contains some caffeine, which can help us better use NAD.

Caffeine turns on AMPK enzymes, which helps our cells manage energy levels. As energy drops, AMPK then enhances NAD production. It is also related to regulating our metabolism and helping cells with functions such as autophagy.

What does science say about Qualia nad+?

There has been a lot of research on NAD and how it can benefit the body in recent years. Since Qualia's supplement also contains a mixture of cofactors, I would love to see how it performs in the study. A placebo-controlled study examines how Qualia's NAD helps men and women.

Overall, Qualia NAD increased NAD levels by an average of 67%. But women see more benefits in particular. The health challenges of these women tend to drop by more than 19%, and aging tends to lead to aging, almost twice as much as in the placebo group. They have significantly improved in various markups, including the following:

  • Less annoying
  • mood
  • Decreased neuroticism
  • General welfare
  • sleep
  • vitality

My Experience with Qualia Nad+

I was recently able to try taking Qualia's NAD supplement. They recommend taking it in the morning, as NAD plays a crucial role in supporting your circadian rhythm. I did notice increased energy and more focus.

If you are not used to taking niacin supplements in it, you may need to start slowly. Some people experience “flushing” when the skin turns red due to increased circulation. Although my skin is not red, I do feel a little warm due to the circulation promotion!

Another thing to note is that Qualia's NAD does contain some caffeine from its coffee berry extract. It contains 28 mg of caffeine, which is equivalent to a cup of green tea. If you are really sensitive to caffeine, you may want to avoid this supplement. I don't like drinking a lot of caffeine in a day and while I don't drink coffee every day, I do choose more of the Decaf coffee when trying supplements. Overall, this is still a very low number and I'm shocked by that. In addition, coffee berry plays a key role in helping NAD work better.

The final thoughts about Qualia's NAD+

I really like Qualia's insistence on high-quality bioavailable nutritional resources when it comes to supplements. As we start to age, NAD+ is a really good way to support our brain and body in the process.
