Some of these recipes are both dual responsibilities and are suitable for other family members, not just moms.

notes: Be sure to double check when adding essential oils (such as lotion) to any recipe. For example, oils such as peppermint can reduce the supply of breast milk. Here is an exhaustive list of essential oil breastfeeding mothers should avoid.

Postpartum therapy

Pregnancy is an impressive achievement, but can bring stretch marks, cesarean scars and other struggles. Here are some DIY postpartum gift ideas that can help moms heal faster and soothe pain from postpartum life.

  • Soothe postpartum spray – Helps calm inflammation, relieve pain and restore damaged tissue in the bone area.
  • After birth, Sitz Bath – This soothing herbal mixture helps to relieve pain in your mom. The dry mixture can be brewed as tea and added to a Sitz bathroom or Peri bottle.
  • After the foam after birth – These bath bombs have nourishing herbs, not essential oils, to relieve relief.
  • After birth – As any experienced mom knows, birth contractions may be more painful (or more) than labor itself. This homemade tin agent soothes after birth.
  • Rice Hot Packs – These reusable heating pads are lifeguards in postpartum discomfort. Customize them with your favorite fabrics and add lavender for added relaxation.
  • Mats – These are great ways to relieve pain and inflammation in the bone area. It’s basically herbal tea frozen on the pad.

Nourishing food

Raising a baby will take a lot from your mother, so it is important to focus on good nutrition. And, if they are breastfeeding, they burn an extra 500-700 calories a day! Traditional culture ensures that new mothers get a lot of nutritious, warming and animal-based food.

  • Pregnancy Tea – I expected herbal tea when I drank, but many of the same nourishing herbs are also perfect for postpartum. They increase the nutritional value of breast milk and help restore moms’ nutrition store.
  • Soup and Stew – Put a can of homemade soup (for freezers) after the baby arrives or put it down at their doorstep. Soups and stews may be a nutritional method to supplement vitamins and minerals.
  • Sauerkraut – Move in the bathroom with some homemade Sauerkraut! Ideal for the gut microbiome and provide probiotic enhancement.
  • Bone Soup – Boiling Bone Soup is a staple food in our family and is also very helpful for postpartum mothers.

DIY body care

Making homemade skin care products is a great way to choose clean, non-toxic ingredients. Plus, they are fun! Many of these recipes use essential oils, so be sure to choose safe breastfeeding or omit it.

  • Homemade Lotion – Soothing Shea Butter and Coconut Oil combine to make this luxurious lotion. Inject the oil into a mild version of herbs such as adamantin and chamomile.
  • Whip the body butter – similar to lotion, but more moisturizing. This whipped body butter has cocoa butter, shea butter and coconut oil.

Creative postpartum gift basket for nursing mothers

If a new mom is breastfeeding, here are some recipes to help her. Whether she is a first time mom or an experienced professional player, these are great.

  • Care Balm Cream – No one is ready for how much harm my breastfeeding might be in the beginning! This nipple cream is safe for babies and can help relieve soreness or damage to nipple.
  • Care Mom Tea – This blend helps provide much-needed nutrition and enhance breast milk supply. Plus it tastes great too! Give her a jar filled with dry tea mixture and a new thermos to keep it warm!
  • Breastfeeding Cookies – While care tea is certainly good, who doesn’t like cookies? These lactation cookies are delicious and are a great way to naturally increase breast milk.

Sweet sleep

Any mother with a newborn knows that sleep can be elusive (sometimes not present). Helping babies stay healthy and support their nervous system (such as through pediatric chiropractic) can help them sleep at night. Although it is not always guaranteed to sleep all night, the following can help mom take a break and relax.

  • Relaxation Pillow Spray – This pillow spray uses essential oils such as lightening and relief essential oils such as lavender and bergamot. While all essential oils used here are considered to spread safely around babies, be cautious if using the baby’s sleep space close to shared sleep directly.
  • Sleep Lotion – Helps relax and calm with soothing lavender and cedar lotion.
  • Magnesium Body Butter – Most of us lack magnesium, and magnesium lotion can be a great way to relax and soothe muscles. I like to apply it to the legs and bottom of my feet before going to bed.
  • Buckwheat Eye Mask – Make a DIY Buckwheat Pillow Mask with added herbs.
