Healthy Halloween snacks that everyone will love
I love putting together snack trays for parties or party and after seeing some fun holiday themes online, I think it’s time to put my spin on the Halloween snack tray. Most elements are very easy to put together quickly and I can’t even tell you that everyone loves it! The best part is that I was able to combine many of the health elements my kids love – because it was so fun, which made them dig out even more excitedly!

Ingredients We Use for Halloween Snack Trays:
- kiwi
- Slice apples
- Caramel Soak
- Various cookies
- Celery and peanut butter
- Cheese slices and cubes
- Mandarin orange
- Mini bell chili
- avocado
- black olives
- Chocolate-covered pretzels
- Cherry tomatoes

How to Make a Healthy Halloween Snack Tray:
- Make different elements. We made these vampire avocado sauce cups, Halloween pretzels and spiders on the logs. If you want, you can replace these with options purchased from other stores!
- Prepare fruits and vegetables. Slice the apples, peeled oranges and peeled (leave some peels on top to look like Frankenstein’s hair).
- Cut cheese. Cube Cheddar cheese and use a small ghost cookie knife on pepper Jack cheese slices.
- Start building the board of directors. Find a nice big pallet and start building snacks. I prefer using the side – this really helps with shipping! Start adding items to the tray, trying to distribute the elements and colors on the board evenly. First place the bowl or larger item, then add smaller items around.
- Add candy to the eyes. Once I put everything on the board, I like to add candy elements. I added my eyes to the mini bell with a little guacamole. They can stick to the kiwi without using any “glue”.
- dig!

Tips for making a great snack tray
Keep the color in mind!
A good snack tray comes in many colors. Avoid using fruits and vegetables to add bright colors to the tray and avoid using bland boards.
Don’t overdo it.
More isn’t always better! Shooted at a ratio of 3-3-3-3. 3 different fruits, 3 different cheeses, 3 different starches and 3 accompaniment. Find a board that balances each other to round it. Try to offer a variety.
Prepare as early as possible.
Prepare ingredients as early as possible. Assembling the board will make it easier (faster!) to assemble during that service time.
Use the correct sized tray.
A 12 x 18-inch tray is a nice mid-size plate that will be offered between 4-6 people. For larger groups, shoot at least 18 by 24 inches of trays.
Shopping your pantry.
Snack boards are a great use for the last set of cookies or jars filled with a quarter of jam in the refrigerator! Nuts and dried fruits are also a delicious addition, perfect for filling these gaps without spending a lot of money.
