Naomi Osaka wins first title on Clay at 125k Saint-Malo

Naomi Osaka Decided to the low-level championship in Saint-Malo, France this week, she has received her first trophy lift since 2021.

Osaka, ranked 55th, beats 515 rankings Kaja Juvan Slovenia won the championship 6-1, 6-5. She also won the victory of Diane Parry, Elsa Jacquemot and Leolia Jeanjean of Saint Marlo.



The 125k event win marks Osaka’s first professional championship on clay.

The former world number one player does not face the top 100 players, but will still gain confidence from the victory.

“Ironically, I think I think the worst is on the surface to win my first trophy,” Osaka wrote on social media. “It’s one of my favorite life, though, and there’s always room for growth and development. Thanks to everyone who accompanied me on this trip, I know it’s turbulent, but it’s also fun and I’m grateful.”



She plans to start Rome on Tuesday.
