Americans landed eight in 16 rounds at Roland-Garros Round, most since 1985

Paris – American tennis has beaten Roland-Garros for 40 years. Eight Americans – five women and three men – entered the French Open singles round for the first time in 40 years.

Roland-Garros had eight or more American players in the last fourth round in 1985, with five women and three men.

On the female side, Coco Gofu,,,,, Madison Keys,,,,, Jessica Pegula,,,,, Amanda Anisimova and Hailey Baptiste Arrive in the fourth round. In men’s side, Tommy Paul,,,,, Ben Sheldon and Frances Tiafoe Completed.

The American man won three games for the first time in his second week since 1995. The three Americans will be held in Paris on Sunday, with Shelton ushering in Alcaraz, Paul facing Alexei Popyrin and Tiafoe facing Daniel Altmaier.

On the women’s side, Anisimova will face Aryna Sabalenka on Sunday.

The key will face Baptiste in a national conflict on Monday, with Pegula taking over France’s Loic Boisson and Gauff facing Russia’s Ekaterina Alexandrova.
