“I can really look forward to progress very quickly,” she told the media on Wimbledon on Saturday. “Once I come back from New York, I’m more focused here, just thinking about what I need to do, feeling the field of gaming needs to be improved.”

Gauff, a two-time champion, entered Wimbledon as second, and he never reached the quarterfinals at the All England Club. She hopes to change that this year.
She said she would have enough time to celebrate her achievements.
“I think for me, I’d rather stay in the moment, think about it, forget about the French,” she said. “I still want to do a great job here. I feel very confident on the court. Yes, for me, forgetting is important, and it’s easy for me because I’m always looking for the next thing.”

Goff said she has re-demarced her game on the grass for most of the past two weeks, which means learning to hit more slices and hit a bland ball. Extra emphasis was also given on sports and serving.
“It’s obviously very different from clay,” the 21-year-old said.[I am just trying to] Keep the ball low. Obviously, the clay plays a height, heavy and this type of game. [On grass] I feel like you need to be a little bit lower than the clay season and it’s a little harder because you spend a lot of time and I don’t know the clay is playing some type of way.
“Then we came to the grass and we had 13 days to change completely – because you still have the core of the game – but just change your game.”
