Before they became Grand Slam champions, Carlos Alcaraz and Emma Raducanu It’s a friend.
2022 U.S. Open champion Alcaraz will work with 2021 U.S. Open champion Raducanu in a star-studded U.S. Open mixed doubles match in August.
This partnership – and the appearance of Raducanu watching Alcaraz play Queen’s Club last week – prompted some media and fans to speculate on their fate, the two young superstars will build a romantic relationship.
Raducanu was asked about their friendship BBC “We’ve been back for a long time.”

Rakanu tells BBC Sports. “We are like talking and friends before anyone wins any victory.”
The couple will play for a $1 million championship check in the newly remodeled U.S. Open Mixed Doubles match, the deepest draw in Flushing Meadows Mixed Doubles history.
A smiling Rakanu smiled at the question when asked if the couple would be together.
Rakanu replied: “I’m glad the internet is having fun and we’re providing some entertainment for everyone.”
