Delicious Herby, sweet and rich turkey sandwich
This amazing cranberry turkey sandwich will compete with you with anything you get at your local tavern! Highly piled with sliced turkey, havati cheese, crispy lettuce, sweet and rich cranberry sauce, and simple homemade Herbed Cream Cheese. It’s so delicious and a great way to consume the rest of the turkey.

The ingredients you need to make this cranberry turkey sandwich:
- Thin sliced turkey– We used a deli. The remaining roasted turkey or barbecue shop was delicious too.
- Hearty bread– We used sturdy wheat bread. Thanks to the ingredients in this sandwich, you need to use good hearty bread here.
- Cranberry sauce– We used cranberry sauce here, but I also used homemade cranberry sauce.
- Havati cheese– Havarti is a delicious smooth cream cheese. Other good choices are provolone cheese, brie, Swiss cheese or thinly sliced gouda.
- lettuce– We used green leaf lettuce. Romaine, arugula or spinach are also good choices!
- Cream cheese– We used full fat cream cheese. Neufchatel cheese and even Greek yogurt can work here.
- Spicy green onions– Fresh Chives brings Herby, delicious subtle onion flavor. Green onions also work, or chives dried in pinch.
- Poultry seasoning– Poultry seasoning is a great spice that makes this sandwich a Thanksgiving talent. If you don’t have this, you can add a little bit of thyme, sage, and rosemary.
- Salt and black pepper– Add season.

How to Make a Turkey Cranberry Sandwich:
- Make vanilla cream cheese. In a small bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, chopped chives, poultry seasoning, salt and pepper.
- Assemble the sandwich. Sprinkle a layer of cream cheese on each slice of bread. The top half is served with a slice of havati cheese, lettuce, thinly sliced turkey and cranberry sauce. Top with another slice of bread.
- Serve. Cut half in half if needed. enjoy!

Tips and suggestions
warmth
This sandwich makes a delicious grilled sandwich! When I do this, I missed lettuce. Spread the exterior of the sandwich with soft butter or mayonnaise. Roast sandwiches over medium heat on Panini Press or skillet until golden brown and melted cheese.
Changes and perversions:
- Use leftover turkey, leftover chicken or barbecue chicken instead of deli.
- Add thin red onions or tomatoes.
- Use up Thanksgiving leftovers? The remaining filling is delicious in this sandwich.
The remaining sandwiches
This sandwich is the best when enjoyed right away. If there are leftovers, remove the lettuce and wrap it in plastic wrap or place it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It will last for 1-2 days.
