Nishikori is the first Asian to join the ATP 450 Win Club

35 years old Kei Nishikori Still love his time on tour and still wins.
The former world fourth place, defeated Aleksandar Vukic 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 in Madrid on Thursday, becoming the eighth active player with 450 wins. Nishikori is the 12-time champion of the ATP champion and is the first Asian to win that number.
From a country where there have never been 40 players, it’s a big mark. How did Nishikori get so far?

“I don’t know,” he said with a smile in court. “I’m just trying to play one game at a time.”
2014 Madrid runner-up Nishikori faces Denis Shapovalov’s Nishikori in the second round, hoping he will win at least 50 more wins.
“That’s a lot,” he said of the current total. “Hopefully I can reach 500.”
